GrantsPlus continues its support of your sponsored funding through our personnel services. Just as we provide financial management and reporting, we can help with payroll and Health Benefits, too. And if some or all of your payroll is covered by other sources of earned income like special events or program services, we can handle that, too.

Payroll Services

We offer full payroll services. Our systems provide secure system access based on authorization by personnel level, project or department-your choice. Whether you have one or two employees or several hundred, full-time or part-time, we can help. We can handle the most complex personnel arrangements including independent contractors, scholarships, fellowships, honoraria and stipends. We track personnel expenses by budget allowance and eligibility across multiple projects and/or departments and provide validity checks based on grant and contract regulations as applicable. If you have employees whose salaries are paid from multiple funding sources we'll make sure your employee receives only one paycheck and that all payments are allocated correctly to all funding sources.

Electronic Timesheets & Personnel Action Forms

Our payroll services rely on these two user-friendly web forms you complete. All you need to use them is internet access through either Internet Explorer or Netscape browsers.

The PAF (Personnel Action Form) gives us the information we need to set up each employee in the payroll system including name, title, rate of pay, hours worked per week and length of appointment.

Our Electronic Time Sheet is filled out each week by each employee or a time keeper (your choice), approved (you choose by whom) and submitted. Our timesheets are programmed to show violation alerts based on your policies as well as employment law. Our timesheets also track time and leave accrual so your employees can log on any time and check their time and leave balances according to your policies.

Direct Deposit & Electronic Pay Stubs

Based on the PAF and Electronic Time Sheet information we generate your payroll on your schedule. We encourage you to use direct deposit and our electronic pay stubs so there are no lost checks. Pay advice information is stored on-line for a year. We even have a program for employees who don't have bank accounts to encourage direct deposit.

Automatic Salary Encumbrances

Our electronic time sheets provide for automatic salary encumbrances. Thus your payroll expenditures are linked directly to your on-line financial reports and decremented automatically from your budgets.
